石井はベルリンを拠点に活動するアーティスト。アイデンティティの不確実性やメディアなどとの関係性をテーマに映像やインスタレーション作品の発表を行っています。
本展では、石井が土地や存在、記憶の象徴として消費される"お土産"のもたらす感覚からのインスピレーションを受けたことを起点に、”みやげや（土産店）”の形を借りたインスタレーション作品を発表します。
作家自身がアイデンティティを模索するために臨んだヒーリングで見えた光と闇を包括した世界、またコロナ禍から始まった愛犬との生活で発見した人間を超えた生物たちとの共存への眼差しを、”みやげや”に投影した作品群が展開されます。
また、本展に向けて1年間にわたりリサーチをした、ベルリンの犬たちや水族館に生息する生き物たちへのインタビューや写真などを含むタブロイド作品「3.33333333…..x3」も同時発表します。

Ishii is an artist based in Berlin, exploring themes of identity uncertainty and relationships with media through the presentation of visual and installation works. In this exhibition, inspired by the sensation brought by "souvenirs" consumed as symbols of land, existence, and memory, Ishii will unveil works titled "miyageya (souvenirs)."
The artworks project the world encompassing the light and darkness seen in the healing process the artist undertook to explore their identity, as well as the perspective on coexistence with beings beyond humans discovered through living with a beloved dog during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Artist Profile:
ロンドン芸術大学チェルシーカレッジオブアート・ファインアート学科卒業、フランクフルト造形美術大学シュテーデルシューレ修了。現在はベルリンを拠点に活動中。
アイデンティティの不確実性やメディアなどとの関係性をテーマに映像やインスタレーション作品の発表を行っている。
主な展覧会に(クンストフェアライン・バーデン/オーストリア)やBroken Blossom(Case revolution/ バンコク)など。

Graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design, Department of Fine Art, University of the Arts London, and completed her studies at the Städelschule for Fine art, Frankfurt. Currently based in Berlin.
Ishii presents video and installation works on the theme of uncertainty of identity and its relationship with media.
Major exhibitions include (Kunstverein Baden/Austria) and Broken Blossom (Case revolution/ Bangkok).
